>>>>>>>>>>HOW TO GET DREADS?<<<<<<<<<<

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WARNING!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

ARE U SURE U WANT DREADLOCKS??? THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES! It's a commitment! Here are some things you need to think about before choosing to dread up your hair:

- TIME is the KEY element for perfect dreads... There are products out there to make your locks appear better, you can speed up the process with hardwork but TIME is really important.

- Dreadlocks are knotted strands of hair, they are sooo tangled up that U CANNOT undo them. If you don't want them anymore after half a year, you cannot really grow them out cuz by then the newly grown hair tangles up automatically! You can try to undo some of it, but dont, cuz its gonna be one big mess! You can shave them off or cut them all off and have real short hair.

- It's better that you don't wash your hair so often in the beginning unless your hair is doing real good. Cuz you don't wanna have your hair build up oil constantly. THe way to condition your hair NOT to do that is to wash them less. The first month is going to be pretty gross, but it's good for your dreads.

- IF by any chance, you get lice or fleas in your dreads, it's gonna be harsh. You might wanna try soaking it in all these different kinds of solutions like vinegar, alcohol or lice killing medicine. But if your dreads are thick and big, its gonna be really hard. U might even need to shave them off.

- At times your scalp WILL itch! & it's hard to get dandruff out!

- Some places don't hire ppl with dreads (such as supermarkets, fast foods, and others)! That's a big problem I face!

- Most dread products really stink (well I hate the smell of dreadwax)

- Dreads are to be GROWN, so remember young dreads aren't real dreads... TIME TIME TIME!!!!

OK, U HEARD ENOUGH! still wanna go on? If the points above don't get to you, then you're fine! Besides, there are MANY MANY good points for having dreadlocks! ONE thing for certain, is that U love them, & the rest u don't care.

BEFORE U DREAD, what you need to do:

1.) wash your hair thorougly! U won't get to do this for a long time!

2.) Get a comb that looks like the pic ...

3.) Divide your hair into equal strands, in whatever size you like

4.) Find a person who is willing to help, for many hours, whoever's willing to do this for you you better appreciate it BIG TIME!!!! (estimated 6 hours)

5.) If you want your hair to look better, get some dread wax.
