HERE ARE SOME PRODUCTS THAT CAN HELP U !

Now I know how dreadheads are really really desperate for products that could just speed up their dreading process... Here are some tips! You will not die without these things, I hardly even use half the stuff listed here. The key words are still PATIENCE + COMMITMENT and more importanly TIME TIME TIME!. If you just want fast perfect dreads in a week, you're definately NOT ready to get them.

PRODUCT 3 : SOAP
The best thing to wash dreadlocks with is soap. Knottyboy offers a really really sweet dread soap made with hemp seed oil, rosemary, and Tea tree. For cheaper options try cheap crappy brand soap bars. The cheaper the better, cuz they don't moisturize your hair so much, and so the hair tangles up easier.
PRODUCT 4 : Elastics
Elastics are sooooo good when you first started dreading up the hair. By tying up all your newly formed dreads, you can leave them alone for a while and not worry about loose pieces.
PRODUCT 5 : embroidery Thread or Hemp strings
TO get the best dreads, start by knotting them up, them wrapping each one in a separate hair wrap. I did this to all my hair and leftthem in the wraps for 2 months and all my hair turned into natural dreads. Make srue you wrap them up real tight!!! U can wash your hair whenever pleased, even with shapoo and all that! This works, its a garuntee!

PRODUCT 1 : DREADWAX
This is what everyone tells you to get. Dreadwax is good for shaping your dreads, used kindda like gel. Wax helps hair to "glue" together. But becareful about the amount you apply. Alot of wax means alot of grease. Despite what all dreadwax compnies tell you that their wax is non-greasy, truth is all that wax will make your scalp secrete oil like nuts. So dreadwax is good if you use it wisely. Dreadwax may help your dreads look BETTER, but they don't actuallty help the knotting process. THerefore dreadwax is good IF you have crappy dreads but want them to look good.
I use dreadwax almost daily, but just very little, kindda gluing the little pieces to the main locs, shaping up the bad boys etc.
Dreadwax is soo good if you need a quick fix. Knottyboy and DreadheadHQ are both pretty famous. I've tried both and I would have to say that Dreadheadhq is better. I like Knottyboy's shampoo more though.
PRODUCT 2 : HEMP SEED OIL
This is a wonderful product for dry scalp knotty heads. SImply apply to your scalp (NOT HAIR) and you'll get non-flaky hair!!!!! This product can be found in Hemp stores/ natural herbal stores/ etc. I even found one at a Rasta style store. I think you can find some at

PRODUCT 6 : beads
Wooden beads help make your dreads look cooler and you can put all your loose hair into them.
PRODUCT 7 : BLEACH
bleach is the best way to dry up your hair and fry all the crap outta your locks. Simply bleach your hair till they turn white, then wash the stuff away with just WATER (NO SHAPOO, soap whatever) Your hair will knot up easily and tightly!

PRODUCT 10 : TOQUE
Non-Canadian language for toque is beanie. Toques are good when your hair looks like dogpoo and there ain't no tme for you to fix anything.
PRODUCT 11: VITAMIN B
After a certain point your dreads might get realy dry and break easily, you can start taking vitamin B pills to strengthen up those locks!

PRODUCT 8 : TAM
I've never used a tam but every knotty head told me its a good way to keep your hair in shape when you're sleeping or doing sport. Tams are good for ppl with lots of FAT or long dreads. It's also good if you're working at restaurant or something.
PRODUCT 9 : COMB
A comb is sooooo important!!! Make sure you got a nice durable comb in your dreadlocks inventory. Combs with many many teeth that don't break easily are best. Metal dreading combs are the sweetest to backcomb your hair with. Check out your pet store for some good combs (flea combs are excellent)...
